Almost Famous! PAR Foods at FoodEx SW

In January PAR Foods ventured to Bristol (equipped with brand new banners and Union Jack bunting), to attend a ‘meet the buyer’ event organised by FoodEx SW. As you’ve probably guessed, the event gave us the opportunity to show potential international customers our range of delicious British wares and talk about the flexibility and dedication we bring to the food export industry.

We showcased a range of brands we export including Tyrrells crisps, Rachel’s Organic yogurts, Brook Farm sausages and Genius gluten-free bread. We had a brilliant time and met lots of new faces, with a number of buyers from France and Turkey showing interest in our products – naturally!

We love it when British manufacturing and produce is at its best and in addition to meeting with new buyers, we also had the opportunity to talk with some exemplary homegrown British food and drink companies. Numerous business cards were exchanged throughout the afternoon, with most of the companies asking us to stock their products for the international markets.

Not only a successful day of networking, PAR Foods also made national news in its first ever television appearance later that evening on BBC points west! Although we were probably only in the shot for approximately 2 seconds, we all felt a bit famous and were happy to sign autographs when they returned to the office!
